Capleton's 'Pain' brings joy |

|
Capleton's latest track, 'Pain', a collaboration with Bobo Zaro and Contractor, is bringing joy to lots of people. Fresh from two huge performances, Sting, in December, and Rebel Salute three weeks later. Pain, produced by Ras Makonnen (son of Barbara Blake Hanna), signals another intention from Capleton that he is back to rule the musical roost. Pain has also been creating waves in the New York area. with the video, directed by Wayne Benjamin, is being featured on Videocity TV and has reached number three on the top-five countdown. Air play Videocity TV airs in Long Island, Manhattan, Brooklyn, Mount Vernon, Queens and Bronx, and reaches millions of homes in these cities. Previously, Pain was also shown on BET's Centric TV show, 'Splash', reaching more than 40 million viewers. Locally, the song has been getting increased airplay, especially on reggae-radio Irie FM. With the trio riding high, news has emerged that they are set to record a hip hop track with United Kingdom rapper, Alonestar, whose real name is Jethro Sheeran, a cousin of multi-platinum record singer Ed Sheeran. Financial aid Another piece of great news is that Capleton and Contractor have used part-proceeds of royalties from Pain to assist Bobo Zaro, whose home in Cambridge, St James, was destroyed by fire some time ago. Speaking of fire, word is that Capleton's fiery delivery on the track can be attributed to an argument he had with Bobo Zaro a few minutes before voicing. Capleton and Bobo Zarro reportedly started a heated discussion because of Capleton's procrastination in voicing the song. The argument prompted Capleton to jump on the track with high energy, even though the rhythm is a laid-back blend of one-drop reggae and hip hop Capleton voiced his lyrics in a hotel room in St Mary. while Contractor and Bobo Zarro voiced their verses at Cut Stone studio, St Ann's Bay. The
single is being distributed by Tads Records.
