Reggae artiste Dillgin has started 2015 with a bang. He recently completed a six-city promotional tour of the United States. The trek saw Dillgin making stops in Miami, Orlando, Washington, DC, Austin (Texas), Salt Lake City, and Los Angeles (California). The artiste is quite pleased with the recent turn of events in his career. "The tour went really well and I have been getting a lot of positive feedback on the road so far, and the fans have been very receptive towards me," said Dillgin in a release to the media. "Every time I touch the stage and perform new songs, including Shining and Weed& The Wheat, it's like a new energy that I am pushing out and the response has been overwhelming, especially because a lot of people still believe that Weed & The Wheat is a pro marijuana song". Dillgin was accompanied by his band Riddim Rockers. Now back in the studios working on various projects, Dillgin is preparing to release two music videos to support Shining and Weed & The Wheat. Both songs have been getting strong support on radio, especially in Jamaica. The artiste is currently working out dates with Europe-based promoters for several shows. Jamaica-born Over the years, Dillgin, born Robert Bailey, was raised in Jamaica and has pursued his career as a singer, DJ, songwriter, and producer on his own label, Wall Streetz Records. As a producer, he has produced many artistes, including Capleton (Never Get Down) as well as Dutty Life by Beenie Man; Power And Shower by Sizzla; Buzz Rock Warrior by Anthony B; and Mystery Babylon by Luciano, among others. Dillgin's 2001 self-produced breakout single Cuss Cuss featuring Mark Ice - was featured on VP Records Strictly the Best 27 compilation series. |
