Man fined for illegal operation of a motorcycle |

|
Launtia Cuff, Star Writer Demar Davis, of a St Elizabeth address, was yesterday fined $37,000 when he appeared in the Santa Cruz Resident Magistrate's Court on seven charges relating to the illegal operation of a motorcycle. After having been stopped by the police on December 12, Davis was charged for operating a motorcycle without a valid driver's licence, without a valid certificate of fitness, without registration plates, without insurance and without the motorcycle being licensed. He was also charged for disobeying a police signal, and for careless driving. Davis pleaded guilty to all seven charges. Should he fail to pay the fine he will face 10 days' imprisonment.
