'How do you sleep?' Anthony B asks politicians

Anthony B

Rastafarian firebrand Anthony B has released a new single called 'How Do You Sleep?' on his Born Fire Music label.

A video for the project was released this week. "The video is very powerful. We filmed a little girl who goes to the market every day to hustle for her family, we shot footage of the terrible poverty that exists in Kingston, it is a bit depressing, but we need to fight for our poor people - for a better standard of living for them. How do our leaders sleep knowing what is really going on?" Anthony B asked.

Anthony B has been very critical of the exorbitant cost of the West Kingston Commission of Enquiry, which could cost the country in excess of $250 million, according to some media reports.

"My view is that our leaders are blind to the suffering of the people. While I respect the learned lawyers who are giving their services to this West Kingston Enquiry, I believe that the money being paid over could have been used, instead, to transform the community of West Kingston and a lot more communities here in Jamaica," Anthony B said.

Anthony B believes that the commission is an exercise in futility."How can this be just and right in the eyes of Jah? How do they sleep when the nation cries?"

The video is now being played on HYPE, RE, CVM's Street Link, Swag TV, and on Black-er's top 20 video countdown.
