![]() Kym Davina Henry, Staff Reporter She rose to fame in 2009 as a member of the Portmore Empire. Now, Kym Hamilton, formerly known as Gaza Kim, is seeking to reclaim her place as a top deejay in the industry. With popular songs such as Teenage Pregnancy' featuring Vybz Kartel; Bills, with Lisa Hype; and Amen under her belt, the artiste told THE STAR that her new songs have been shelved by disc jockeys. "I am not getting much airplay. It's been a while since I've heard any of my songs on the radio. The established producers aren't voicing me and when they do voice me, the radio disc jocks don't play my song," she told THE STAR. She continued that fans have been inquiring about her being off the music scene. "I've been putting in the work. I am working. It's just that my songs aren't getting played." After parting ways with Portmore Empire in 2010, she unofficially joined the Alliance camp. She parted ways with them in 2013 and is now a part of KipRich's Nuh Behaviour camp. Though she has not been on a Jamaican stage in recent time, Kym told THE STAR she has been getting booked for shows across the Caribbean. "Continue to look out for more music from Kym Hamilton. You can request to hear my songs on radio stations," she said. In the meantime, Kym is busy promoting singles including Nuh Behaviour and Guns Out, as well as two new singles with KipRich titled Tired A You and Bottle Cork.
