A choir director who is charged with the alleged sexual assault of one of his church sisters is to return to the Linstead Resident Magistrate's Court on Thursday.

The allegations are that the complainant, who is a choir member, was lured to the accused man's home. While she was there, she was reportedly sexually assaulted.

A report was made to the police, and following an investigation the choir director was arrested and charged with rape.

He has maintained his innocence throughout his court appearances. The accused is being represented by attorney-at-law Jermaine Reid.
