WESTERN BUREAU:

Known for his high-energy performance style, inclusive of flicks, kicks, high jumps and spins, reggae artiste Nature once again delivered in fine style last Friday night, at the start of Rebel Salute, held at Richmond Estate in St Ann.

Nature, who came on shortly after 9 p.m., could easily be awarded the performer of the show's early segment as he captured everyone's attention with his strong voice and energetic choreography.

His opener, Trying Man, was met with huge cheers from patrons, some of whom were also spotted singing along throughout his set. Nature also wowed the audience with World Peace and Let Us Preserve Nature, a song advocating for environmental preservation and animal rights.

Paid tribute

Throughout his performance, the Monetgo Bay native also paid tribute to great reggae artistes, past and present. He serenaded patrons with Garnet Silk's mega hit, Mama Africa, then moved on to Beres Hammond's Come Back Home.

Following his performance, the artiste told The Star he was committed to spreading a positive message through his music.

"I give thanks on to the Most High for life, for the talent and this gift that I have. People out there need positivity more than ever and we are all about spreading the positive message because right now it's a revolution time ... . Word is power, and whatever you put out will create an impact, so Nature is all about spreading the good word with a positive vibration," he said.
