Dear Pastor,

I was cheating on my wife. I slept out here and there with different women. She found out and I kept denying it. One evening she called my cellphone the woman answered, was rude and hung up the phone on her.

When I got home, she called the police and had me arrested for beating her, which I never did. I was incarcerated for three months.

When I got released, I went to live with the other woman. Now she seems upset. Was I supposed to go back to her house? I don't want to because I am fearful that she will have me locked up again.

Wrongly Imprisoned

Dear Wrongly Imprisoned.,

It is not uncommon in North America for some wives to lie on their husbands and to have them arrested.

Some men have suffered, just like you, because of lying women.

Unfortunately, some police don't use common sense. They seem not to understand that because a woman is crying down the place and pretending she is afraid of her man, doesn't mean she is speaking the truth.

Some women have even torn off their clothes, injured themselves and claimed it was their men who had injured them.

Women know the trick. Other women tutor them. when things don't go their way with the men, they often tell lies on the men and cause them to suffer. Evidently you got your wife angry by allowing your girlfriend to be rude to her. she felt she had to hit back at you for cheating on her. Your girlfriend should have known wife is wife and a girlfriend does not have as much power as wife. So she was wrong to be disrespectful to her.

However, I see why you have not gone back to live with your wife. I hope the decision you have made will prove to be good. Your wife will always see this decision as an insult to her. She will never consider it is to be result of what she had done to you.
