CURTIS CAMPBELL, STAR Writer Reggae artiste Jah Shan is promoting a new single, 'Keep Dancing'. Jah Shan said the song was made to evoke happiness. Keep Dancing was produced by Fire Red Productions and has received rotation on at least one radio station. "The reception is very great. It is getting played on Sun City radio. I released Stop The Violence before this effort and I also got good support for that record. As an artiste, you have to be versatile, which is why I decided to do a dancing song, even though it's still reggae," he said. The artiste said he wants to bring clean music to the industry. "I am trying to keep focused at this point in my career, so that I wont get drawn out into negative energy because of hype. "Bob Marley dun set it, so it's not about hype. I am about clean music and songs that even the children can listen to. "That is what I am bringing to the plate. I see where that is lacking in the music, right now," Jah Shan said. The artiste also commented on the state of music, claiming that artistes who release positive songs will reap more success than those who choose slackness. "If you look at the thing, and yu want even pree pon a money level, those who do slack music can't see Bob Marley money. So a deh so the thing fi deh. "A just reggae music a di real deal. My music is designed to make people learn, because if yu a duh music and nobody nah learn nothing, it nuh mek sense," Jah Shan said. Jah Shun is also promoting Mama Love, featuring Sledge. |
