Strong police presence after Gregory Park shooting

The St Catherine South police have increased their presence in the community of Gregory Park, Portmore, following Sunday's fatal shooting of one man and injuring of two others, THE STAR has learnt.

Reports reaching THE STAR are that the deceased man, 33-year-old Amore Moore, was walking with two other men in Gregory Park when armed men pounced on them and opened fire. The three men were hit.

THE STAR gathered that the injured men were taken to hospital, where Moore was pronounced dead and the others admitted.

Yesterday, when our news team contacted the St. Catherine South police, THE STAR was informed that no motive had been established for the attack, and that the investigation was ongoing.
