Entertainer Razor B and his Show Us the Way Foundation (in partnership with OG Entertainment and Team Razor B) had a successful staging of the Razor B Family Fun Day at Roserun Way in Waterford last Saturday.

The event attracted more than 500 children and adults from the community of Waterford and its environs.

"The vibe was just great, we had great music supplied by Infinity sound, face-painting, waterslide, merry-go-round, bouncing castle, dancing competition, refreshments and plenty other giveaways, including for both kids and adults", said Razor B.

This was the seventh staging of the event.

"It was just a beautiful day, overall. the weather was perfect and everything went according to plan. me and my family look forward to this event every year and to see that it only getting bigger and better, every year, brings a complete joy to my heart, I love my community and the people. our goal is to reach other communities, but one step at a time. God sees and knows our hearts", Razor B added.

Razor B resided in Waterford before he migrated to Canada in the early 1990s. He felt it was necessary to give back to the community.

"The purpose of this event is to give back to my community and to show the children that they, too, can aspire to do big things, and that someone cares", Razor B explained.

Giving back

The gesture, initiated by the foundation, began as a simple giving-back exercise in Canada. Razor B, along with the help of his family and friends, began by handing out pre-packaged meals and care packages in Toronto, Canada.

"This event has changed the way that I look at Christmas and the way our family celebrates it. We've been doing events like this, for Christmas, for as long as I can remember. I wouldn't even consider it a charity because I feel like the community pays us back in appreciation and love. It's so much more than we give them", said Phelisha Cassup, daughter of Razor B.
