Bye bye 2014, welcome 2015!

Mi cyaa believe 2014 dun already! Mi remember clearly what happened on January 1 this year and now we a look inna 2015 face!

Time really and truly naa wait pon nobody! Nuff people did a seh this Christmas did 'soft' and never have much vibe, but mi no know what or who to believe because the lines dem and traffic and the whole heap a smaddy weh me see pon the government road, it did look tun up to me!

When you look pon all certain supermarket when yuh lost people in deh yuh woulda haffi wonder if a free visa dem did a give weh! No sah, it did loud! Mi a watch videos pon the Internet, and when mi see the rush, mi a wonder if a Black Friday sale a farin!

dampen the vibes

Things get so sticky til all people a get bite over scarce commodity! One ting mi can attest to, though, is the fact that many persons neva put up no peppa light and mi think dat help fi dampen the vibes. God bless the two grain a light dem weh actually did put up, and even those weh did up neva bazzling like fus time! JPS goodly haffi go do one special rate fi Christmas time so we can at least put up some light and ketch a merry vibe ... after all, tis the season to be jolly and to give.

As the year comes to a close, it is time to reflect on the old and prepare for the new. This year was filled with the good, the bad and the ugly. Every year some people seh "this year a my year" but it is important to put those words into action. Yuh might no attain everything or accomplish all that you set out to, but it is important to set goals because when you don't, you'll be like a ship without a sailor! If we keep doing the same thing, we're going to get the same result. As long as the end of the 365 days no ketch yuh a square one, just keep moving. Rome neva buil' in a day!

Many times people will complain about and highlight all that's wrong with Jamaica and what's wrong with the system, but if they should be asked what have they done to rectify the problem, dem cyaa answer. At the end of the day, if you're not part of the solution, you're part of the problem. Jamaica needs each and everyone of us in order to move forward and be prosperous.

miniscule growth

We need to set our expectations higher, as miniscule growth won't get us to where we need to be. Being part of the solution also includes holding those we put in power responsible, as well as ourselves. Nuff time people a point finger and naa see seh the big finger a point right pon dem!

As we are on the cusp of a New Year, I would like to wish for all my readers a splendid and prosperous 2015, continued health, wealth and strength. God's richest blessings, guidance and protection. It rough out deh, but may God continue to cover us under His blood. Eat and have a good time because yuh haffi live yuh life.

Take nothing or no one for granted and make each moment count. No focus pon no locus, and to thine own self be true. Spread love, peace and good cheer, and mek sure yuh buy yuh STAR and continue read mi column all a next year!!!
