No Masta Bling at Sting

Montego Bay-based deejay Masta Bling has announced that he will not be performing on Sting 2014, even though his name is on the poster.

"I was not properly advertised by the Supreme Promotions team, so my management team and I came to the decision that we would not do the show. So I just want to make my fans know what is going on," he said.

Masta Bling, who is known for the single Gallis, revealed that he would focus instead on promoting his own stage show dubbed 'Climaxx Reloaded', which will be held in Brown's Town, St Ann, on Christmas Eve.

"Right now, that show is my priority. In January, mi a focus on mi career 100 per cent to find the song to make the whole Jamaica know and respect Masta Bling. Is hard work, and promotion do this ting and get you the respect you deserve in the music business. So right now, mi a build my stage show, Climaxx Reloaded, until January, mi step up mi career," Masta Bling said.

The show will feature artistes such as Masta Bling himself, Tommy Lee, Gage, Chuck Fendah, Powerman, Wasp, Jigsy King, Virgoman, Shari, I Purity, Plasmic, and Danny English. Music will be provided by Freddy from Kilimanjaro, Digital Chris, Big A, Gary G, and Dexta Peppa.

Earlier this year, Masta Bling emerged as a major part of the new wave of Montego Bay artistes who are making their mark in dancehall. He first gained attention with the single Gallis on the Cannon Ball rhythm, which earned him a spot on Dancehall Night at Reggae Sumfest.
