Rafiek Thomas' form is one of very few things Boys' Town can celebrate in what has been a pretty drab season so far for the Red Stripe Premier League (RSPL) football club.

If the famed 'Red Brigade' are to turn around their fortunes, avoid relegation, and conclude their season on a positive note, Thomas' goals will be crucial.

On Sunday, the 30-year-old forward netted his fifth goal in three games, giving Boys' Town a total of four points out of a possible nine. Although there are rumours linking the prolific frontman to other clubs, he says he is only focused on doing the job for his present club.

"Boys' Town is where I'm at now and I am focused on doing it for Boys' Town, and that's it," Thomas told Star

Sports.

The forward is very pleased with his run of form in his last three games, which includes a hat-trick in a 4-1 win over Sporting Central, one goal in a 2-1 defeat to Barbican, and another in their 1-1 draw on Sunday.

He is hoping that his good form can help put points on the board and move the team out of danger.

"I feel so good to know that I am getting the goals. I just want to focus for the 90 minutes and I hope to just continue scoring and see if I can help to move the team forward. I can do it (maintain form), it's not impossible, I will just have to continue to work hard in training and score the goals same way, and just play my role in the team's game," he said.

Thomas, who also played for Tivoli Gardens last season, finished with seven goals last term, eight in the season before, and five goals in 2012.

On Sunday, he moved one shy of his season best tally, after he expertly converted past Jacomena Barrett after he broke in behind the MoBay defence.

There is no limit to the number of goals he wants to score, and he wants to score in every match.

"It's a good feeling to score five goals in three matches, but I have to continue it because as a striker, you need goals and it's always a good feeling when you are getting goals."

Boys' Town's coach, Andrew Price, added "Rafiek is an industrious worker upfront. He works very hard. This is his fifth goal in three games and he is heading in the right direction."
