Ladies night upgraded at Famous Nightclub

Anthony Minott - Kelly Upsetter

With Portmore's own Kelly Upsetter and DJ Badda Bling in tow, Famous Nightclub has revamped its Thursday night offering with promises of presenting "the best ladies' night, ever".

According to organisers, patrons can expect the club to be completely transformed each week for UP Thursdays, in addition to new offerings specifically for female patrons.

"It's an upgrade of the concept of ladies' night. UP Thursdays is bringing a whole lot more to the table," says representative Tara Playfair-Scott.

Some of the changes include themed decor, a vibrant and energetic host, and a firebrand resident DJ.

"For starters, we have Kelly Upsetter as our weekly host and she's excited to be on board. Badda Bling from Flava Unit is our resident DJ and we'll have guest DJs dropping in from time to time," Playfair-Scott said.

"It's going to a completely different experience for ladies that night. Gone are the days when ladies' night meant getting into a club at a discount. UP Thursdays, Ladies Night Out at Famous is the place to be every Thursday!" an excited Kelly Upsetter added.

The host also said that there would be prizes, surprises, and drink specials each week, thanks to the organisers and UP Thursday's sponsors.

"Voga is one of our sponsors and they have bucket and bottle specials to offer each week," Playfair-Scott shared, before adding that the "best addition to ladies' night comes with a bucket or a bottle of Voga".

Ladies who order drink specials at UP Thursday will receive concierge service, including a "gorgeous male waiter".

UP Thursdays will be free for women until midnight, admission is $500 after. Men pay $800 to enter.

At 11,000 square feet, Famous Nightclub is the largest club in the Caribbean. Dubbed the 'Mecca of Dancehall', Famous has welcomed more than 250,000 people to its dance floor as they host weekly themed events, DJ clashes, concerts and more.
