Take Timeorarms

Jimmie, Star Racing Writer

TIMEFORARMS' return to overnight allowance was spoilt by Superstakes runner-up UNCLE TAF at 1820 metres two weeks ago. However, the Fitzroy Glispie-trained five-year-old should make amends at the level in tomorrow's third event at 1500 metres.

Since comfortably beating stablemate RAGING PROSPECT and CLASSY PROSPECT in an overnight allowance on July 19, TIMEFORARMS took on the best horses in the country in his next four races.

He finished third then fifth behind TYPEWRITER in the Nigel Nunes and Owen Silvera memorials, open allowance events in August and September, respectively.

His next two starts were up in class, grade one, fourth in the Governor General's Stakes behind PERFECT NEIGHBOUR and fifth in the Superstakes to runaway winner TYPEWRITER, October and November, respectively.

Glispie slipped TIMEFORARMS down in class two Sundays ago, to overnight allowance, a drop of two levels, but his runner was accompanied by Superstakes runner-up UNCLE TAF, who made all at his favourite trip of 1820 metres.

TIMEFORARMS now represents a grade-one horse in an overnight allowance race, coming in at 54.0 kilos with four-time champion jockey Omar Walker astride.

SCOOP JORDYNE, running at 48.0 kilos, seems to be TIMEFORARMS' main threat after a big runner-up performance to CAMPESINO at 1400 metres on November 15.

Walker was aboard SCOOP JORDYNE that afternoon with 54.0 kilos, chasing CAMPESINO, who won in a fast 1:26.0 and subsequently went up in class to repeat at the distance against open allowance runners.

Apprentice Kuri Powell will try using SCOOP JORDYNE's 48.0 kilos and pace to get away from TIMEFORARMS down the backstretch. However, the Wayne DaCosta duo of JACK DE CHARMER and ROYAL VIBES will also run with 48.0 kilos and should be disputing the lead from the off.

This should play perfectly for TIMEFORARMS for whom the last half furlong, when the leaders are tiring, will be the strongest part of his race - especially with the grade one experience against TYPEWRITER and company under his girth.
