A million shares

JN Money Transfer pledges funds to hospital if video makes share milestone on social media

JN Money Transfer (JNMT) has challenged its followers on social media to join the remittance company in its drive to fulfil a commitment to double a donation, which it plans to make to a local hospital if the 'Miracle' advert being shown on local TV and social media, achieves one million shares.

As part of the challenge, JNMT has pledged to donate $250,000 towards the purchase of critical equipment at Kingston Public Hospital (KPH). If the Miracle ad reaches one million shares, JNMT will donate an additional $250,0000.

"Our health-care services are important to us. As part of our corporate social responsibility, we have launched this initiative to benefit Jamaicans. This challenge is also in keeping with our 'It's Love Well Sent' theme, which is the idea behind the Miracle ad, which is currently making waves on social media," stated Gabriel Heron, marketing and business development manager for JN Money Services, of the JN Money Transfer brand.

The Miracle advert has so far received more than 1,083 shares, 28,000 views and 2,000 likes on Facebook. It was first aired in November on local television and later premiered on social media.

The two-minute, 10-second video, edited to 36 seconds for television, highlights the importance of remittances to many persons in Jamaica in emergencies.

It features a taxi driver faced with difficulties meeting a medical bill. The advertisement ends by showing the important role JN Money Transfer plays in the lives of remittance receivers.

"Remittances have always played a part in helping many families take care of medical expenses. Many remittance receivers use our local hospitals," said Heron.

"We know that many persons are on waiting lists to have access to critical equipment. Therefore, to further assist in improving the service, JNMT will donate funds to acquire critical medical equipment."
