FEMALE FRAUDSTER

Woman accused of robbing job applicants through fake business

A woman, who allegedly swindled money from a number of individuals, purporting that she could obtain jobs on their behalf, had her bail extended in the Corporate Area Resident Magistrate's Court.

Charged with 12 counts of fraudulent conversion is 31-year-old Camille Townsend-Mandalay of a Kingston 3 address. She was fingerprinted.

The Crown alleges that the accused placed an advertisement in the press offering employment for the Employment Financial Services Limited.

Interviews were conducted and persons were requested to pay $5,500 for the company's T-shirts and identification cards. It is further alleged that the complainants paid over monies but did not receive the materials or a refund.

Townsend-Mandalay is expected to return to court on December 19, the day set for the matter to be mentioned.
