CURTIS CAMPBELL, STAR Writer

Dancehall artiste Beenie Man has collaborated with American rappers Young Jeezy and Ty Dolla $ign for an effort called 'Link Up'. The single was produced by award-winning hip-hop producer DJ Mustard, and is currently in rotation in the US.

DJ Mustard was awarded Producer of the Year at the recently concluded BET, BMI and VMA Awards, respectively, and is responsible for the production of hit records like Rack City by Tyga, Na Na by Trey Songs, Big Sean's IDFWU and Will.i.am's Feeling Myself.

Beenie Man has been making rounds on the international circuit since getting back his US visa in late 2012. He told The STAR that he received an opportunity to work with international stars and he seized it with both hands.

"I was in New York for a Hot 97 show and Young Jeezy had a another show that he was attending, so he asked me to join them. Wi link up at a studio and a rhythm was playing and mi just start sing and everybody, including Ty Dolla $ign, just come together and we put a song together. I don't tek long to make song, so I didn't hesitate. I just did my verse on the spot," Beenie Man said.

The song already has more than 100,000 views on youTube.com. Beenie Man recently united with former rival Bounty Killer to release a song called Legendary.
