GEORGE HENRY, STAR Writer A 31-year-old taxi operator from a Clarendon address was granted bail when he appeared in the Mandeville Resident Magistrate's Court last Friday on a charge of having sexual intercourse with a 13-year-old, who happens to be his relative. THE STAR has learnt that the taxi operator was taken into custody after the girl's parents reported that he allegedly had sex with the minor four times leading up to December 1. It is also understood that he had sex with the girl between 5:30 a.m. and 6 a.m. on each occasion. When the cabbie appeared in court, he was granted a $150,000 bail and told to report to the Spaldings police twice per week on Mondays and Fridays, between the hours of 6 a.m. and 6 p.m. . He was also ordered by the judge not to make any contact with the complainant. He is booked to reappear in court on January 27. |
