Armed men abduct three girls from bus

Up to news time last night a frantic search for a group of girls, who were reportedly abducted from a bus by armed men, continued as the police piece information together, THE STAR understands.

The age group of the females was not ascertained.

Information reaching our news desk is that three females boarded a public passenger vehicle in downtown Kingston yesterday, en route to Seaview Gardens, St Andrew, but were later removed from the vehicle by armed men who were reportedly posing as passengers on the bus.

Our news team understands the incident took place on board a Number 35 bus, which plies the Seaview Gardens to downtown route.

Checks by THE STAR revealed that the search for the three females is being driven and supervised by the Organised Crime Investigation Division (OCID) and the Major Organised Crime and Anti- Corruption Agency (MOCA).

Efforts to speak with Head of OCID, SSP Clifford Chambers, proved futile, as several calls to his cell phone were unanswered.
