Three years ago Tina Reid awoke from an anaesthesia-induced sedation (where she underwent a caesarean section) to behold not one, but two lovely bundles of joy. The overjoyed mom had just given birth to twin boys - Kemarly and Damani Francis.

She admitted since taking home her double bundle of joy, the boys have been a source of happiness to their extended family and older siblings - Jada Francis (sister), father Demroy Francis and brother, Gregory King - however, throughout her entire pregnancy she was in denial about the prospect of having twins.

"When I awoke and saw them, I was in total shock and awe, but equally happy, excited and gracious to see and hold them. It is such an awe-inspiring feeling," Reid, a teacher at the Clarendon-based, Mocho Primary School told The Star Life and Times.

refuse to believe

"Even though I was feeling loads of activities, an indication of twins, which the scans also corroborated, and two of my aunts are twins, I somehow, still refused to believe I was actually carrying twin babies until I saw them with my own two eyes," Reid said smiling.

She described the boys as naturally independent, fast learners who shared similar activities including each other pains, and who have mastered the art of switching personalities, and while not identical; bathroom break is a simultaneous call for both of them.

love electronic gadgets

According Reid, both boys who attend the Talented Tots Academy in May Pen, Clarendon, are already reading well for their age and have also mastered the use of the tablet, smart phones and other technological gadgets.

They are doing well at school, both love electronic gadgets and are independent thinkers with varying personalities," the boys' mother revealed.

She noted that because of their developing independence, both boys have the household in stitches as they insist on dressing themselves with shoes placed on wrong feet, clothes on the wrong side and on backwards.

She laughingly joked that they have both labelled their stuff mentally, and say Damani often snatches his brothers' stuff and runs around the house just to provoke him.
