Racehorse jockey turned producer Dane Nelson is promising a great showdown at the Magnum All-Star Celebrity Face-Off tonight at Club Famous. Going up against athlete Warren Weir, Nelson is determined to come out the victor.

"The preparations have been going smooth. It has been a little difficult in terms of getting the deejays who you want, but so far we are on track," he said.

As it relates to his outfit of choice, Nelson had this to say: "Gangster nah choose nuh outfit, after a nuh career day."

He also had some very scathing words for Weir.

"Only cowards run when dem hear gunshot, so when mi fire the musical shots tomorrow, tell him fi keep running." Weir, however, is undeterred and told THE STAR that he is confident that he can win.

"Preparations have been going good. Nothing extra, nothing more than the regular. I'm ready. I'm where I'm supposed to be," he said.

Though not willing to divulge much information, he did state that his outfit of choice will be chosen minutes before the event.

Questioned as to whether he had any special message for the horse rider, Weir stated that Nelson was in the 'wrong profession'.

The Magnum Face-Off will also feature Oral Tracey and Pretty Boy Floyd as well as Bass Odyssey and Uncontainables.

Admission for the event is $1,000 for men, while ladies can enjoy a 2-4-1 special of $500 before 11 p.m. The event is sponsored by Magnum, Famous Night Club and SunCity Radio. The event will be hosted by Camalla LaTouche.
