Star Tell Me Pastor

A 'reader woman' told my girlfriend to dump me

Dear Pastor,

For 10 years I have been listening to your show. I am in a relationship with a woman. We have a daughter together. Things were going well between us until I lost my job. My mother doesn't like my girlfriend so she doesn't want her to visit her house. A woman who described herself as a 'reader woman', 'read up' my girlfriend and told her that my mother doesn't want me to give our baby anything. She also told my girlfriend she should end the relationship with me.

Tell me, pastor, do you believe in reader women, or reader men, who tell people what will happen to them? I cannot sleep at nights. I need your help. I need some counselling. I just want to climb a tree with a rope around my neck, and jump.

E.H.

Dear E.H.,

Let me answer the question you asked first. You want to know if I believe in 'reader men' and women. If you are asking if I believe they can tell me my future, the answer is no.

I do not believe they can or have special gifts from God to tell anybody's future, or what is going on in their lives. Some of these reader women and men are nothing but con artists.

They know how to ask questions to get customers to tell them their business. Lots of these people sow discord among relatives and friends. This woman told your girlfriend your mother doesn't like her and she believed.

People who believe in so-called reader women and men waste their money, paying them to read them up. That money could be put to better use.

I am sorry to know you are unemployed. I pray God will help you to get another job very soon. Meanwhile, read your Bible, pray and go to church. You don't have to contemplate taking your life. If your girlfriend does not cooperate, it is better for her to go.

Pastor
