St Thomas resident gets 14-year sentence |

Jolyn Bryan, Star Writer A St Thomas man was sentenced to 14 years' imprisonment in the Gun Court in Kingston, recently, after he pleaded guilty to the murder of a 72-year-old returning resident in 2010. Twenty-eight-year-old Lincoln Davids, of Beacon Hill in St Thomas, confessed to murdering Teffel Rutty in October 2010, after attacking him at his home. His body was found on November 1, 2010, stuffed in a pit latrine a few miles from his residence. Davids was arrested in Bull Bay after attempting to sell a motor vehicle to an individual who became suspicious and alerted the police. It was thereafter discovered that the vehicle belonged to Rutty. |
