Dancehall star Macka Diamond just keeps getting better with age, like a sophisticated bottle of wine. Just ask the Caucasian dancehall fans who came out to see her perform in Edmonton, Canada, over the weekend.

"The crowd was mostly white and some of them just came to know me for the first time because they had heard Dye Dye and wanted to see me for the first time. a lot of young people were there and I spent a lot of time taking selfies backstage. It was great, it shows that I can win over new fans," she said.

Macka Diamond performed her older hits like Hula Hoop, Cowfoo, Bun Him, Done Already and Twist Me before closing with Dye Dye. International recording artiste Junior Reid also delivered an incredible performance at the event.

Macka will be performing in Toronto tomorrow.

When she returns to Jamaica, she plans to shoot a video for her gospel song which was produced by Danny Browne last week.

"I just feel blessed because I am getting a lot of calls for shows, my career is sailing along, my family is great, my son is doing wonderfully in school. I am in a good place right now because of God and I want to tell him thanks. so I will be shooting a video for my gospel song as soon as I get in," she said.

The artiste continues to generate a buzz with her single, Karma, which is in regular rotation on several radio stations in the USA.She is also planning her birthday party for January 10 at the Sexy Wet Sundays HQ in Spanish Town, St Catherine.
