This is the first time I am writing to you. I am 16 and have a problem that is very embarrassing. I have a very long penis. I grew up near a river. When my friends would take off all their clothes and jump in the river, I couldn't do it because of the length of my penis. I didn't go to camp and shower with the boys because of the problem. They would laugh at me. Only my mother saw me naked because she used to bathe me as a child.

Many times I read your column and see people saying their penis is short. Mine is very long for my age. My mother told me I mustn't worry because my father's penis is longer than nine inches. Right now mine is nine. Sometimes I have to tie my penis down. I have never had sex. I want to know if any girl would want me with such a large penis.

I am looking forward to hearing from you. I would like to be a medical doctor, so I am working very hard but I do think of girls a lot.

I suggest you stop tying down your penis. That is not a wise thing to do. Try to wear briefs and roomy trousers. Please, do not be ashamed of yourself. I understand you don't want anybody to be looking at you, so don't go to the river with the boys, or anywhere where you have to shower together. Boys are boys. If they take off their clothes to go for a swim, it is natural they will see each other.

Don't worry. When the time comes, you will get a girl and she will love you. Doctors can tell you what to do, so as not to hurt her when the time comes. You have a very intelligent mother. She tried to assure you that all will be well, because your father has a very large penis too.
