Richie Feelings warns Bass Odyssey

With one securely under his belt, after his landslide defeat of The Uncontainables, selector Richie Feelings told THE STAR that this week is about a lyrical war.

"Bass Odyssey is a war sound so me nah tek dem lightly. I'm going with the intention to come out as the victor. Is kill or be killed musically enuh. Mi nah come smile up and giggle, giggle," he said.

After a less then stellar performance last week, Richie Feelings stated that he knows that Bass Odyssey will be coming full force this week.

"Me a come fi lyrically murder dem. Me nah leave no stone unturned. Me ready fi everyting," he said.

Bass Odyssey, on the other hand, said their approach is to build the talent of the younger crew members.

"This was our approach in similar face-off few years ago, and it pushed some young talent in the spotlight. We have a team of 12 selectors so, yes, like last week, we are putting out the young crew but we are sending a different set. Last week, our MC picked up steam late but sound clash is a thing you only learn through experience," manager, Yanique Walford, said.

tough week

She added that last week was tough, but that they are better prepared for this week.

"We had a first timer facing off with a seasoned clash selector, but that is how you build future stars. We have the artillery in terms of dub plates and specials so we expect that this week we have a more prepared crew... So we're telling the fans to come out and expect some big dubs. We have been doing this for 25 years and what has gotten us this far is the support. We could send our champion clash team and I am confident the trophy and million would be going back to St Ann, but we are putting confidence in some talented youngsters who are our future champions," she said.

The Magnum All-Star Face-Off is hosted by MC Nuffy and will take place tonight at the Famous Nightclub in Portmore, St Catherine.

Admission is $1,000 males and $500 females. Females are also entitled to a 2-4-1 special before 11 p.m.
