Jamaica Franchise batsman Shacaya Thomas slammed a shot-filled unbeaten 74 to guide Spanish Town Titans to a nine-wicket win over title-holders Montego Bay Sixers in the second round of the Jamaica Premier League Twenty20 at Ultimate Oval, St Ann yesterday.

Thomas struck six sixes and three fours off 55 balls, as Spanish Town, set a modest 127 to win, achieved their target at 126 for seven with an over and a ball remaining.

The former Combined Campuses and Colleges batsman, who was recently selected by Jamaica Franchise for their opening match against Windward Islands Volcanoes at Sabina Park on Friday, was best supported by Tamar Lambert, and Danza Hyatt.

Lambert, who is set to captain the Jamaica Franchise, hit 33 off 36 balls and accounted for four fours, while Hyatt, who has been overlooked for the Windwards clash, finished unbeaten on 21 off 20 balls.

West Indies Under-19 off-spinner, Ramaal Lewis, with one for 23, ended as the Sixers best bowler.
