Police seek owner of illegal firearm
A man who pulled an illegal firearm during a dispute with his brother on Saturday, is being sought by the St James police. The police have since seized the firearm, a 9-millimetre semi-automatic pistol, and 34 rounds of ammunition in Portobello in the parish.

The police say about 4:30 Saturday afternoon, a 22-year-old man of Cambridge Street, Portobello, brandished the gun when he and his brother got into a disagreement at their home. A justice of the peace, who was nearby, managed to disarm him and summoned the police.

The man fled the scene leaving behind the pistol along with 14 rounds of ammunition.

The police searched the premises and found a bag containing 20 rounds of ammunition in a room occupied by the suspect. He is now being sought by the police.
