THE STAR-produced Magnum All-STAR Face-off sound clash competition continued last Thursday, with dancehall/reggae group TOK going up against actors-dancehall artistes Twin of Twins in a quite entertaining battle at Famous Night Club in Portmore.

The clash started at 1 a.m., with Twin of Twins winning the coin toss and sending TOK's Flexx and Alex to face the large crowd. Supported by their DJ, TOK attempted to turn the audience against the twins by stating that they were in the clash to play music, while the twins were there to talk, which was a clever move, since Twin of Twins intros turned out to be their strong point. TOK then started their juggling round with a Mutabaruka intro. "Twin of Twins, di two of unno cyah mek one a mi", it proclaimed and the audience loved it. They played songs like Bounty Killer's Toppa Top, Shine Yu Gun by Shabba, Ninja Man's Murder Dem, and Super Beagles Dust A Sound Boy. So good was their transitions and choice of songs that the audience roared in approval, many questioned if the Twins would be able to top their juggling.

Twin of Twins came next dressed as Taliban warriors, and with the first selection won favour with the audience, by dissing TOK with their own song. "When wi kill unno tonight, this unno madda a guh sing," Twin of Twins said and played Tear Drops by TOK. They then followed up with dubplates from Little Hero and Romain Virgo. Songs like Box Lunch from Vybz Kartel and Cyah Test also had patrons in a frenzy, however, their transition was not as smooth as TOK's. Their selector was also a tad sloppy. At the end of the round, the judges ruled in favour of the twins. However the audience disagreed with some persons booing the announcement.

A wounded and disappointed TOK shot themselves in the leg during the 45th round, when they chose to use an intro by Sponge Bob Squarepants. Their intention was to imply that one half of Twin of Twins was an associate of Sponge Bob since his birth name is 'Patrick' and Sponge Bob's is known to be best friends with a character called Patrick. However the response to the intro was weak. They picked up momentum with Vybz kartel's Send Fi Mi Army and See You No More by Bounty Killer.

Twin of Twins responded with Mad Cobra's Baddest, Sizzla's Karate, I-Octane's Nah Wash and again they hit TOK where it hurt by concluding their round with Chi Chi Man by TOK. The audience loved their antics and roared in approval. The judges again awarded the round to Twin of Twins; however, this time around, the audience did not disapprove.

The decisive dub-for-dub round was next and TOK started with Major Mackerel's Unda Deh. Twin of Twins responded with a relatively weak counteraction. TOK then played Demarco's Good Book and received a strong response. However, Twin of Twins stole a piece of their spotlight by also playing a Demarco dubplate. TOK then went for Konshens' Duh Supm and had the audience dancing. That reaction was also short-lived as Twin of Twins responded with Merciless' 100 Gun Questions and again the audience roared. TOK went for the big guns with their next selection, Junior Gong's Welcome To Jamrock dubplate and the audience approved. However, the clash was not over, and with the final blow, Twin of Twins certainly stole the round from TOK. "A mi madda duppy dream mi and tell mi fi play this, she sey fi save the best fi last," Twin of Twins said and played a rare Beres Hammond dubplate.

At the end of the judges' tabulation, the overall winner of the clash was Twin of Twins. Guest judge Ninja Man expressed that the Beres Hammond dubplate was too lethal for TOK.
