Lady Genius shoots video for 'Stay' |

![]() Contributed Lady Genius Reggae singer Danette Mahabeer, aka Lady Genius, is determined to make her mark on the local music scene. The singer, who is also a model, recently shot the music video for her cover of Rihanna's single Stay. "I'm very excited about this video, the shoot was awesome. It was a lot of hard work but it was worth it, we got a lot of good scenes. I can't wait to see the final edit," she said. The video, directed by Davince Duncanson of Procut Multimedia, was shot in May Pen, Clarendon. Lady Genius has been very busy promoting her single Suitcase. She recently made appearances on a number of popular radio and TV shows in support of the single and its accompanying music video. "Over the last couple of weeks I've been doing the promotionals rounds. I've done interviews at a number of media outlets. The response has been very positive. I am extremely grateful for all the support I am getting," said Lady Genius. Also on the cards for Lady Genius is promotion of her recently released single Nah Stop Try for Push Hitz Records. "This song is a wonderful song with a positive message of upliftment for everyone. It has been out just a few weeks now, I'm getting ready to start promoting it," she said. |
