A High Alert has been activated for 12-year-old Vanessa Blackwood of Ananda Court, Bridgeport, St Catherine, who has been missing since Wednesday, October 1, 2014.

She is of dark complexion, stout build, and is about 162 centimetres (5 feet 4 inches) tall.

Reports from the Bridgeport police are that about 4 p.m., Vanessa was last seen at the Portmore Mall in the parish, dressed in a green blouse, green pants, and a pair of white slippers.

She has not been seen or heard from since. Several subsequent efforts to contact her have so far proven futile.

Anyone knowing the whereabouts of Vanessa Blackwood is being asked to contact the Bridgeport police at 988-2697, police 119 emergency number, or the nearest police station.
