International reggae artiste KC Jockey is enjoying a lot of attention from the public, after remixing one of Lady Gaga's hit songs GUY (Girl Under You).

The remix, produced by France's DJ Kenni Starr, premiered on May 15, just under two months after Gaga's officially released.

GUY is one of the many hit songs from the pop superstars' third studio album, Artpop. A music video for the single has already racked up over 55 million views on YouTube.

KC Jockey's remix was approved by Gaga's management team, Interscope Records. The Kingston-born artiste has also remixed Jason Derulo's Talk Dirty and I Love You Papi by Jennifer Lopez and French Montana.

The remix of Gaga's hit, however, has enjoyed most of the successes thus far. It has become a fixed item on many disc jockeys' playlists worldwide. The multifaceted KC Jockey said he is happy with the speed at which the remix has gotten recognition.

"Yea, I am very happy because I was very positive about the possibilities of the remix becoming a success. Everyone has taken a liking to it, which is very encouraging," the artiste, who launched his own label Sweet Sadie's Productions in 2000, said.

There is a mini-promotional tour of the US currently being planned by the artiste. The idea is to capitalise on momentum gained.

"We have a real buzz at the moment, so a promotional tour is being planned by my team currently," he said.

The Lady Gaga ft KC Jockey GUY (remix) is currently number 15 on Bobby G Promotions' Top 15 Pro DJ's Urban/Dance Music Playlist.
