![]() Financial analyst warns... Financial analyst Ralston Hyman says Jamaica must take the outbreak of Ebola in West Africa seriously as it could have an economic impact on the country. The World Health Organization has projected that the current outbreak could result in a two-year $32.6 billion economic loss by the end of next year. It says the impacts being faced by African countries are a threat not only to their own citizens, but to their trading partners and the world at large. Speaking on 'Independent Talk' on Power 106 FM yesterday morning, Hyman said Jamaica must take the Ebola outbreak seriously. He also says Prime Minister Portia Simpson Miller should tell the country how Jamaica is responding to the outbreak and state plans for the possible economic repercussions. |
