Supreme Promotions' Isaiah Laing is quite popular for his yearly Sting stage show, but he is promising patrons a treat at a new event called Stones Ginger Wine Nice Time on October 19.

The oldies event will be held at the Police Officers' Club on Hope Road with Metro Media, Sky Juice, Digital Chris, Pityless and DJ Ray, as well as a four-the-hardway sing off with Leroy Sibbles, Silvertones, Dennis Walks and Ernest Wilson.

"I wanted to do an oldies event from long time and I think the time is just right. At the Police Officers' Club you are safe and you are out of the world when you are there. There is nice parking and you feel secure," Laing said, noting that it costs $1,000 to enter the event.

He said part proceeds from the event will go to the Police Federation.
