Man dragged before court

A man will stand trial for allegedly kicking a 12-year-old girl in her face and stomach.

He is Andrew Thomas, who pleaded not guilty to the offence of Child Abuse when the matter was called up yesterday in the Corporate Area Resident Magistrate's Court.

Allegations are that the complainant was at her grandmother's house when Thomas accused her of being lazy.

She was allegedly kicked in her face and stomach by the accused.

Thomas' lawyer, however, told Senior RM Pusey that the allegations before the court are far from her instructions.

Thomas is to return to court November 20.
