Digicel Rising Stars finalist Angele Smith is gearing up to release his debut album by the end of this year. The artiste and his management have not decided on the title of the project; however, the young artiste hinted that inspiration will be drawn from a song title.

The album will feature productions from a variety of producers such as Clive Hunt, Live Up Productions, Dale Virgo, G Jam records, Washroom Entertainment, among others.

It will feature 13 tracks, dabbling in reggae, R&B, alternative, and pop. The artiste says he wants to give music lovers a rounded effort.

"My music is emotional, so fans will definitely be drawn to it. The tracks will also be clean, so everybody can listen to it. I know how to get my message across using poetry, so I don't have to release explicit content," the artiste said.

Angele recently returned from Canada, where he performed at a two-day reggae festival. The artiste told The STAR that he performed for over an hour for hundreds of patrons, who listened to his music attentively and wanted to hear more, even at the end of his set.

"As a young artiste, I believe that is a big accomplishment, and I hope that success will translate into album sales because many of the fans in Canada are looking forward to this album," he said.

The artiste will release new videos in coming weeks, and is promoting recent releases Mek Mi Love Yu, Bounce Back, among others. Also an aspiring actor, the singer is to be featured in a Jolly Wood-produced film called Kane and Abel.

The artiste will also perform alongside I Wayne at local live show Saturday Night Live, to be hosted at the Olympia Court Hotel.
