Shadé and Tahj Whyte are second-form students at the Spalding High School in Clarendon.

They are twins, from Huddersfield in Manchester. They were born on January 29, 2001 to Sandra Denton and André White. Shadé boasted that she is older than her brother because she was born first.

Shadé who is the more talkative, shared that they also have a set of twin sisters in her family. Tahj pointed out that he likes being Shadé's twin because she is kind to him and takes good care of him.

"I like being the twin sister of Tahj because he is my best brother. We have always been in the same class at primary school, except for Grade One. I have three brothers," said Shadé .

Shadé disclosed that after completing high school she wants to be a police officer doing detective work. This as she thinks that kind of work is fun. Though Tahj also wants to be in the security field, he wants to be a member of the Jamaica Fire Brigade. This, as he wants to be the protector of life and property.

They both love school. As it relates to academics, Shadé shared that she loves mathematics. On the other hand Tahj's favourite subject is English language.

The twins made it clear that they have similarities when it comes to food. For them, like many Jamaican children, their taste buds favour bread and cheese, rice and peas and chicken; but their chicken should either be fried or barbequed. They both love orange juice.

Shadé the aggressor

Though the two have been very close growing up, they did not hide the fact that they have been in a few fights with each other over the years. However, they were quick to disclose that Shadé has always been the aggressor.

"I used to fight him because I did not have anything to do. I used to tease him," confessed Shadé .

Tahj said though he was never the one to start the fights, he used to love fighting Shade' because he usually came out the winner. Though she loves to fight, Shadé ' pointed out that she is the peacemaker in the family.

Apart from enjoying sumptuous meals, Shadé said she loves to watch television and play games during her down time. These sentiments are also shared by Tahj. However, Shadé loves netball, basketball and other sporting activities. This is not the case with her brother who pointed out that he is not fond of sports.

The two dismissed what many persons have said about one getting sick because the other is ill. They said there is no truth to that, because they have never been ill together.
