Committed to Christ |

![]() GEORGE HENRY, STAR Writer Name: Lantha Anderson-Roberts Church you attend: I am currently a member at the Frankfield New Testament Church of God, in the parish of Clarendon. Position in the church: I hold several positions in the church, but I currently serve as young adults Sunday school teacher. Time since saved: I have always been a member of the church, but I have been committed over the past three years and I have been married. No turning back this time around. Tell us about the moment you got your conviction: I was at home; always afraid to go to church because I knew that at some point in time I had to surrender to the Lord. However, this time I was at home when I heard a voice speak to me clearly, saying that 'Tonight is the night'. I turned around and looked to see if there was anybody, but I did not see anyone. The voice then said again, 'Tonight is the night; you have to surrender it all'. I just went on my knees at my bedside and said a prayer. I got up the next morning, and went to my mother and father and told them that I got saved. What has been your most challenging moment since becoming a Christian? I do not have any challenges when it comes on to church. I can say that I have some very supportive church members at my church. I do not have any problems with them. They always work with me and try to get me involved so that I can contribute, because I think they see potential in me. Miraculous event since being saved: I remember I was at church one night and a prophetess was there. She was invited from abroad. She said to us that we should turn to our neighbour and say 'something awesome is going to happen to you tomorrow'. One person said it to me and I said it to her. I went to pick up a barrel in Kingston the next day, and when I went there my name was on the barrel but was spelt incorrectly. I was told by a lady that I could not get the barrel that day because it had to be changed from the destination it was coming from. She was giving me the run- around when I remembered that I was told the night before that something good was going to happen to me that day. I then felt the Holy Spirit just come over me and I started to speak in unknown tongues. I then asked God what it was and I started to glorify Him. I, again, went into the office to the lady and she told me that I could not get through. I then saw a man enter the office and he asked me what I was there for. I explained to him what had happened and he then turned to the lady and said she should put me through. I did not even pay the full cost for the barrel. Message to Christians: Trust God because we never ever will go through this life smoothly without His presence by our side. You have to trust Him. He will never fall back on any of His promises. His promises are true. We always tend to stumble here and stumble there. He makes us promises and we should always remind Him of His promises. He understands that we are weak and frail, but despite all of that, He is going to remain by our side. Message to non-Christians: Seek Him first before the time is too late. When all is said and done, we all need Jesus in our lives so that our lives here on earth will be worth living. Without Him, it does not make any sense.
