Richie Stephens to launch 'Skatech' rhythm

The multifaceted musical maestro Richie Stephens along with Irie FM's 'Big A' and Christopher Birch, are set to launch a new beat, 'Skatech'.

The rhythm is hoped to pump new energy into Jamaican ska music, using Stephen's newest single on the rhythm, Everybody Dance, as the vehicle through which 'Skatech' will make an indelible mark.

'Skatech' is a brand-new dimension to music,an amalgamation of Jamaican SkaandElectronic Dance Music (EDM). Stephens has high hopes for this project.

"I think ska music is a great music from Jamaica, that has not really been on the forefront recently, especially, in Jamaica.

Everybody Dancewill be released in the weekand the video two weeks later.

The artiste hashada busy year, so far,promoting his latest album,Real Reggae Music. The 14-track album features collaborations withU Roy,Richie Campbell,Alborosieand Gentleman,and has been doing well in European and US markets.

Stephensis continuing his hectic schedule with preparations for ashow in Cayman next week, and is also gearing up for a magical return to the local stage at the Soul in the Sun Music Festival in October.

TheWinnersinger completes the Soul in the Sun line-up of Peabo Bryson, Jeffrey Osborne, Freddie Jackson, Howard Hewett and themagnificentRegina Belle, onSaturday, October 11,at the Aqueduct in Montego Bay.
