|||||
![]() Flava Unit After runners cross the finish line of the Gleaner 180 5k race on Saturday, Flava Unit plans to bring nothing but energy to the after party that follows the race. "We will bring good vibes, as usual, tons of energy," said Flava Unit's CEO, Dezzi. The race will start on North Street in Kingston at 6:30 a.m. and runners will be led on a route along South Camp Road, onto Marescaux Road, down Heroes Circle and ending on East Street. With the after party expected to start shortly after the race ends, Dezzi says the Flava Unit selectors are quite versed on playing for different audiences at different times. "As you know, Flava Unit is rounded and it doesn't matter the type of event. Flava Unit is qualified in every area. Our selectors know how to interact, socialise and bring the energy to any type of event," Dezzi told THE STAR. He said he is also pleased to be associated with event because proceeds from it will be given to the University Hospital of the West Indies (UHWI) Physio- therapy Department and PALS Jamaica (Peace and Love in Society). In addition to Flava Unit, there will be a pre-race warm-up session with Spartan Health Club's Steve Ming at 6 a.m., while Jenny Jenny will act as MC. |
