When were you saved? October 2008

When did you got your conviction? My second child was dying from a life-threatening birth defect. My wife, the doctor and I prayed for a miracle. I really felt close to God in my spirit. I knew then that after many years in sin, the time had come to turn a new page. My daughter died but she inspired a new birth in my life. She died so that I could live.

What has been your most challenging moment since becoming a Christian? I lost my job in 2009 and have not been permanently employed since. There was a time when I was unable to financially support my family. As a man who has experienced some amount of material success, it was quite embarrassing having to do odd jobs in order to survive. I felt like giving up on everything but God kept me.

Message to Christians: All of us on the face of this Earth play an integral part in the plan of God. The important thing is to identify your role in his elaborate plan. This, my friend, can only be done if we have a relationship with God. God does not desire a surface relationship in that when we want something we ask of Him, or when things do not go according to our desire, we throw a tantrum. God requires us to submit to Him totally, then we will hear from Him. He will reveal to us the role we must play in His big plan. God promises that if we do our part we will inherit eternal life. However, if we follow the ways of this sinful world we will inherit eternal damnation. There are times when we may become weak along the journey, but His grace and mercy will keep us. So let's hold fast to the faithful and unchanging God. You'll be glad you did.

Message to non Christians: David said, in the book of Psalms, 'Come taste and see that the Lord is Good.' The Lord also spoke through the Psalms when he said, 'Blessed is the man who walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly nor standeth in the ways of sinners.'

If you haven't experienced Jesus you haven't experienced the gift of life. The emptiness and confusion that we feel inside is simply because we have chosen to face life's challenges without our Creator.

He knows everything about us. After all, he made us, and, as such, He knows what's best for us. The fact is without God you may win some battles, you may feel successful and prosperous, but, make no mistake, you will surely lose the war.

Take it from me, my friends, if you think you are enjoying life now as non-Christians, wait until you try Jesus. He'll blow your mind. He'll do things you will never imagine. All you have to do is to change your lifestyle and ask his forgiveness. Give your life to His service today and watch Him transform your life.
