![]() A 103-years - old Japanese sprinter has issued a challenge to Jamaican sprinting super star Usain Bolt. "Let's rumble. I'd love to race Bolt," said Hidekichi Miyazaki, who holds the 100m world record for centenarians with a time of 29.83 seconds. Called the 'Golden Bolt', Miyazaki says he does his best to stay in top shape and is planning to wait another five years if he must, for his dream race against the 100m and 200m world record holder. "I'm keeping the dream alive. I try to stay in top shape and stay disciplined and healthy. That's important for everyone - even Usain Bolt." The old-timer also offered some dietary tips to the six - time Olympic gold medal winner. "My body is small, so I take care of what I eat," said Miyazaki. "When I eat, I chew each mouthful 30 times before swallowing." "That makes my tummy happy and helps my running. And I eat my tangerine jam every day." Miyazaki, racing in Usain Bolt signature running shoes, clocked 38.35 to finish more than 20 seconds behind race winner Yoshio Kita at a recent Japan Masters Athletics competition in Kyoto. "I'd give myself five out of 10 for that," he said in between Bolt's trademark 'lightning' pose. "Before I ran, I curled up for a little nap - big mistake! I felt stiff. "I'm still young, so it's a learning process," he joked. "I can run for another five years." |
