Kareema Foster, aka K'reema, is confident she has the ability to make it big in the music business.

A year ago, K'reema, daughter of legendary dancehall entertainer, King Yellowman, decided to pursue a career in music after quitting her job as an emergency medical technician in New York.

"I was working as an EMT for a while, but a year ago I decided it was time to pursue my passion. That's when I made up my mind to quit that job and do music full time," she said.

She recently recorded and released her first single, an uptempo pop-flavoured track, We Don't Give A What.

"My single is a pop-flavoured track with a touch of dancehall. It's a nice party track," said the artiste.

Being an entertainer has been a lifelong desire for K'reema, as she has always wanted to emulate her famous father.

"This has been my dream. From as far back as I can remember, I"ve always wanted to be an entertainer, just like my dad," said K'reema.

Last year she made a cameo appearance, alongside Yellowman, at Dancehall Rewind Event, in Queens, New York, where the two of them performed Blueberry Hill, her dad's cover of the Fats Domino classic.
