Ishawna's 'Need Love' single has continued to build momentum, after being used as theme song for Irie FM's recent broadcast and reports of the just-concluded IAAF World Juniors Youth Championship in Eugene Oregon, USA.

Ishawna, signed to Downsound Records, continues to enjoy a rich vein of form for the last 18 months. Her songs, Murderer and Hottest Gyal Alive, which features Beenie Man, have generated the attention in key dancehall circles.

The Championships, July 22 to 27, featured some of Jamaica's top athletes.

Irie FM's coverage gave six 10-minute highlight reports on each day of competition and 10-minute previews of the next day's events.

Need Love was used for all of Irie FM's promos and coverage, conducted by senior sports reporter Robert Williams. The single also boasts a music video, produced and directed by Downsound Records. The video sits on HYPE TV and CVM's Hit List charts.

Ishawna, recently launched her company, Legendary Cosmetics, and is happy with the progress of her career.

"It's really cool that my career is generating this amount of buzz. I feel really honoured and must say thanks for all the continued support. The song is doing extremely well, which has made me happy because a lot of work was invested into it," she said.
