Need forgiveness for cheating |

|
Dear Pastor,
I read your column every week and I love it. I am 50 years old and my wife is 45. Pastor, I am about to lose her because I have done some wrong things and she found out. I went to Jamaica and I caught up with one of my old girlfriends and spent some time with her and somebody told my wife. And I denied it but when my wife asked my relatives when was I home, they told her and eventually I had to tell her the truth. I have been begging my wife for forgiveness but it's not the first time that I have cheated on her. So, this time not even the Pope she says can get her to forgive me. I promised her that I will not go back to Jamaica but that is not helping. So, what can you do to help to save my marriage, pastor? I am depending on you. G.H Dear G.H., The only thing I know I can do, sir, is to ask your wife to forgive you but there is no guarantee that she will because you have misbehaved before and she has forgiven you and you have done it again. And this time she has hardened her heart and you should know that when a woman has taken a hard stand on a man, it is not easy for her to change. Continue to beg and hope that she will change her mind and give you another chance. Pastor
