![]() man accused in
stabbing incident freed Rasbert Turner Star Writer Lloyd McDonald, accused of wounding a man with whom he had a dispute, was freed in the Spanish Town Resident Magistrate's Court on Tuesday. During his sworn testimony, McDonald said it was the complainant who attacked him and had injured himself in the process. He said the complainant attacked him with a metal-tipped cable, which caused the wound when he swung it at him. Having heard the testimony, Resident Magistrate Simone Wolfe-Reece said she was convinced by McDonald's account of the incident. Allegations are that on November 25, 2012, there was a dispute between the complainant and the accused following a traffic accident. McDonald reportedly stabbed at the complainant and injured him with a stone but, during his numerous court appearances, he maintained his innocence. He was represented by attorney-at-law Courtney Maxwell. |
