Bugle ready for Sumfest

Bugle

Still riding high from the release of his debut album 'Anointed' a few months ago, dancehall/reggae artiste and songwriter Bugle is set to deliver a creditable performance at this week's staging of Reggae Sumfest in Montego Bay.

The deejay is billed to perform on Dancehall Night (Thursday July 17). He promises that fans are in for a musical treat.

"The fans can expect a proper performance. I have grown a lot over the years and I have now reached a stage in my career where I have become a good performer where stage shows are concerned," Bugle stated in a media release.

This will be Bugle's fourth time performing at Reggae Sumfest.

Bugle recently released the video for the single Move Dem, a collaboration with Julian Marley. The song is also included on Anointed. The video was directed by Jerome Hyde for Unplugged Multimedia, who is based in Washington, DC. Scenes were shot in Port Royal and West Kingston.

"It was a great vibe working with Julian Marley. He's very energetic and punctual. I must say I am happy with the finished product, so big up Julian and Jerome," Bugle added.

Another single from Bugle which has been doing well is Anointed, the album's title track. The song is enjoying strong rotation on radio and in the dancehall.

"Anointed is actually one of the biggest songs in dancehall these days. Big up to the producer Johnny Wonder, the selectors who play it everyday and night, and the radio and the party fans who actually put the topping on it to make it what it is," Bugle said.

Since the release of the album, the project has been doing well locally. It is also among the top sellers on iTunes.

Bugle was recently featured on the RE TV Unplugged series at Countryside Club, where he performed for two hours delivering hits from 2007 to the present. The performance is now airing on RE TV.
