Indie Rootz Records, an independent record label in Montreal, Canada, has been steadily growing in Jamaica.

Not yet three years old, the record label has been firmly planting roots in Jamaica and various countries throughout the world where reggae has found liking.

Indie Rootz comprises of a small but professional team of Brian Kotler, executive producer, Bobby 'Garnett' Pottinger, producer) and Deborah 'Ms Rebelle' Harewood, public relations.

They started production focusing mainly on compilation albums. They are now putting finishing touches on their fifth and final compilation, Royalty Dub Compilation, described by Kotler as "nothing short of a masterpiece".

Reggae greats such as Luciano, Jimmy Riley, Lady G, Patra, Mikey General and Mikey Melody are featured. Artistes from a wide cross section of countries such as Africa, Canada, USA, Europe, Israel and Jamaica will also be featured.

"You can expect pure positive vibes and excellent reggae music on this album. Indie Rootz always aims to deliver that, so in all our projects, that's some of our main focuses," he said.

The Royalty Dub Compilation will be available online by late October.

They are, by no means, limited to compilations, however, as they have produced songs for some of the biggest names in reggae and also some of tomorrow's stars.

Going forward, Indie Rootz will be focusing on executive producing studio albums, EPs and singles.

Indie Rootz have dabbled further into the on stage musical aspect as they have also formed Indie Rootz Band.

Pottinger, bandleader and guitarist, put together a good mix of professional reggae musicians, each with 15-plus years of experience. To date, they have backed Mikey Meldoy, Norval Edgehill, Aphtanan, Rasani and Lady G.
